The Academy of Minimally Invasive Foot & Ankle Surgeons Hosts Inaugural Fellows-Only MIS Masters Course in New Orleans

New Orleans, LA – The Academy of Minimally Invasive Foot & Ankle Surgeons (AMIFAS) proudly hosted its first-ever Fellows-only MIS Masters Course in the vibrant French Quarter of New Orleans. Held at the LSU Medical School’s Health and Science Center, this exclusive event brought together a select group of experts to discuss complex cases, complications, and cutting-edge advancements in minimally invasive foot surgery.

The intimate setting provided a unique opportunity for surgeons to engage deeply with their peers. Each participant was assigned their own cadaveric limb, allowing them to refine new procedures, prepare for upcoming cases, and share valuable insights and techniques. Attendees included leading MIS experts from across the United States as well as international participants from Canada, Mexico, and Paraguay.

In addition to the hands-on learning experience, the Academy hosted a memorable dinner at Antoine’s, America’s oldest restaurant, offering attendees the chance to network in a historic and elegant setting.
